With the Olympics this week we did a few at-home preschool activities for fun. Here are the 3 Olympic Activities I did with my preschool kid.
Olympic Rings Craft
This was a great activity to work on color matching and fine motor skills!
What you need:
-paper in various colors
-glue
-markers
Set-Up:
Draw the 5 Olympic Rings in the various colors with the markers. Then tear up the color paper and mix it together
Activity:
Have your little one match the ripped up pieces to each color ring and glue them on
Tip:
Glue in a cup with a Q-tip is easier for little hands
Olympic Hockey Game
This was an easy activity to set up. We made some Lego goals and poured water into a container and let it freeze overnight. Then we used a cap for the puck and two markers for the hockey sticks. Super Olympic activity for preschoolers and school-age kids.
Gold Medal Snack
All you need for this snack is two things!
– Fruit By the Foot
– Golden Oreos
You split the Oreo open and then you lay the Fruit by the Foot inside of it so that it lays like a ribbon (We only used about half of each one so that the ‘ribbon’ didn’t get too long.) Then put the top of the Oreo back on and you are all set!
Let me know if you had any fun Winter Olympic Activities that you did with your preschool child in the comments below.
