This week we focused on Dinosaur activities for toddlers. I came up with 4 super simple activities that my toddler could do throughout the week. Here is the list!
Dinosaur Sensory Bin
I filled this bin with grey and brown playdough and some rocks. (Find our homemade playdough recipe here) Then I added in his dinosaurs to play with. This was a fun activity for the afternoon and was a great intro to our dinosaur week.
Dinosaur Name Craft
This craft was a cute way to incorporate our name recognition skills. All you need is construction paper, scissors, glue, and a marker. Super simple right? Cut our a big half circle, a small half circle, a couple of rectangles, triangles for each letter of your child’s name, and I used a scrap piece of paper for the tail.
Fossil Footprint Cookies
Again, I a really easy activity to do with your toddler. All you do is mix up a batch of your favorite cookies and then let your toddler use their dinosaurs to make footprints in each of the cookies. Yummy and fun!
Dino Bath
Grab all the dinosaur things you have around your house and let your little one take a bath with them. It makes bathtime a little different and exciting for your kiddo.
Extras
We also watched Dinosaur Train for our screen time this week to tie it all together. You can find it for free on the PBS kids app!
